Tyson Fury looks leaner than ever in new snaps ahead of epic Oleksandr Usyk fight

Tyson Fury looks leaner than ever in new snaps uploaded by Ty Mitchell as his bout with Oleksandr Usyk creeps closer.

Fury and Usyk will finally do battle in May, having originally been due to fight in February and December - before their bout was delayed on both occasions.

The Gypsy King was poor during his narrow win over Francis Ngannou back in October.

But he's since slimmed down and looks in impressive shape as he looks to put Usyk to the sword in their heavyweight clash.

Mitchell, taking to Instagram, has shared two snaps of the pair.

And though Fury is partially obscured it's clear to see his muscles on display, with the Gypsy King also looking thinner in the face.

Mitchell wrote: "Sparring no 1 heavyweight on the planet whilst fasting? Yh completed it mate.

"Total domination May 18th Saudi! Inn shaa Allah!!"

Fury, as a result of his unconvincing performance against Ngannou, is a man with a point to prove.

Many have criticised the 35-year-old for the way he narrowly beat Ngannou, who was taking part in his first professional boxing match.

But Fury seems to be taking Usyk far more seriously.

Usyk has won all 21 of his career fights so far, with 14 of his victories coming via knockout.

He represents the biggest test of Fury's career, despite the Gypsy King previously overcoming big punchers such as Deontay Wilder, Dillian Whyte and Wladimir Klitschko.

Yet Usyk, speaking to Seconds Out, said it's a matter of 'when' and not 'if' he beats the Briton next month.

"Not if, when?," he said when asked about returning to his homeland if he beats Fury twice.

“I want to do a fight in Ukraine at the big stadium, Olimsky.

"My goal is to make a fight in a stadium. I think I [will] do it."

Legendary boxing promoter Bob Arum, meanwhile, has admitted he's worried about Fury given how flat he was against Ngannou last time out.

“Fury and Usyk, I believe, will be a great fight," he told BoxNation.
