Helen Chamberlain and Tim Lovejoy have teamed up on a new podcast to dish out the gossip on Soccer AM

Soccer AM legends Helen Chamberlain and Tim Lovejoy took a trip down memory lane to look back at some of the old guests they had on the former Sky Sports show.

Fans were devastated when Sky Sports pulled the plug on Soccer AM in 2023 - ending nearly 30 years of being broadcasted.

And while speaking on new podcast Soccer A-Z, Chamberlain revealed what a nightmare one guest was when trying to get them to stick to a timeslot.

While talking about difficult guests, she said: “David Haye, the boxer, he didn’t not show up.

"But we would book him and say ‘your call time is 7:30’ and he’d say ‘no, my call time is when I wake up and get there’.”

Lovejoy chuckled and said: "Who is going to argue with him?"

Chamberlain continued: "That’s exactly what happened.

“His interview used to be just floating. So it would be whenever he arrives, they just go, right David Haye is here, and we go to a commercial break and then he’d be there.

“Sometimes he would be first guest, sometimes he would be last guest, and we never argued with him.

Fans were left stunned by the news on Haye with one saying: "Pure arrogance."

And others agreed, as another reply read: “I wouldn’t interview him. Bet he turns up when he’s told now.”

A third had a solution, saying: “I’d let him turn up when he wanted and say sorry your time was 7:30 you missed it. That would teach him.”
