Mike Tyson's new heavyweight ranking revealed after boxing icon lost to Jake Paul

Mike Tyson has entered the heavyweight rankings at 309th in the wake of his defeat to Jake Paul in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The 58-year-old stepped out at the AT&T Stadium hoping to show he's still got what it takes to rock the world.
Yet though Tyson avoided a knockout, the veteran was comprehensively outclassed by his opponent as he lost via unanimous decision.
It was his third defeat in a row, having previously been beaten by Danny Williams and Kevin McBride in 2004 and 2005 respectively.

And Tyson has now entered the heavyweight rankings at 309th, per BoxRec.
There are currently 1491 heavyweight boxers worldwide and the website judges contenders using a stars-and-points algorithm.
During his prime years in the sport, Tyson was ranked as the world No 1.
He became the youngest heavyweight champion of all time when he beat 1986 after stunning Trevor Berbick, with that victory still seen as one of his greatest.

And Tyson then proceeded to dominate the sport in the years that followed, writing his name into boxing folklore in the process.
As for Paul, the former YouTube and Disney star is currently ranked 126th.
Though he was delighted to beat Tyson, his reputation has arguably been neither boosted or tarnished in the wake of the big result on Saturday morning.
Prior to the clash, tempers flared when Tyson slapped Paul at a heated weigh-in.

But Paul, speaking after his win, insists there's no bad blood between the pair.
“I was trying to hurt him a little bit," said the fighter, who has now won 11 of 12 fights so far.
“I was scared he was going to hurt me. I was trying to hurt him. I did my best. I did my best.
“I wanted to give the fans a show, but I didn’t want to hurt somebody that didn’t need to be hurt. I have so much respect for him.

"That violence, war thing between us, like after he slapped me, I wanted to be aggressive and take him down and knock him out and all that stuff.
"That kind of went away as the rounds went on.”
Tyson was asked how he felt after the defeat.
And though he was unable to come out on top, the heavyweight icon did say he was pleased with his performance.

“I didn’t prove nothing to anybody, only to myself,” he admitted.
“I’m not one of those guys that looks to please the world. I’m just happy with what I can do.”
