Despite all the hype surrounding the contest, Tyson believes the fight may not capture much attention in the United States.
In an interview with Men's Health, the former heavyweight world champion said: "Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn are both very exciting fighters. I don't know America would be interested, because I don't think they're internationally known."
Tyson was careful not to pick a favourite for the upcoming clash, citing his personal connections to both fighters' families.
"I'm good friends with their fathers," Tyson explained in the same interview.
Instead, he diplomatically stated: "Well, I like both of them and it should be a very good fight so may the best man win."
Eubank Jr has emphasised the unique nature of their upcoming clash, describing it as unprecedented in boxing history.

"The fight will be one of a kind. It has never happened in boxing," he said.
"It has never happened and will never happen again. It is a massive deal," Eubank Jr added, referring to the fact that the rivalry has now been passed down from father to son.
He predicts an explosive contest, stating: "I think it is going to be savage, one of the best fights British boxing, world boxing has seen for quite some time because it's real."

The build-up to the fight has already featured significant drama between the two rivals.
During the launch press conference in Manchester, Eubank Jr sparked chaos by slapping Benn in the face with an egg.
Fight week promises even more fireworks as the boxers prepare to settle their differences in the ring.
Following his failed drug tests, Benn has since been cleared to fight again and has regained his British Boxing Board of Control licence.
