The two Americans will face off in Texas on November 15

Mike Tyson has accused Jake Paul of not taking their upcoming showdown seriously ahead of their blockbuster boxing fight next month.

Anticipation for the bout is rising, with many intrigued how the battle will play out given the huge 31-year age gap between the two men.

Paul and Tyson have both been updating fans on social media by uploading clips of them working hard in the gym.

But Paul has also mocked Tyson on numerous occasions and has also been accused of wearing a prosthetic stomach to make himself look out of shape.

Now, speaking to Fox 4 Dallas, Tyson has accused his 27-year-old rival of 'not taking the fight seriously'.

And he's also vowed to put on a spectacle as he looks to summon the magic of old and reign supreme.

"I can't wait for this evening to happen. I just don't think he's taking it seriously," stated the 58-year-old.

"I think he believes he's the young guy and I'm the quasi-retirement child, they may think I'm an easy touch.

"[The fans] won't believe the spectacle that's going to happen, it'll be something they've never experienced before as far as pain is concerned."

Tyson has refused to make an official prediction for the fight.

But he's warned Paul that it won't go on for too long, with the veteran fancying his chances despite the odds being stacked against him.

"Not long, as soon as I catch him, because he's going to run like a thief," he said when asked how long the bout will go on for.

"I don't see how he's going to make it an exciting fight by running all day.

"He's supposed to be the young guy, he's supposed to walk right through me.

"I'm an old man but he's going to run all night. He should try it (meet me in the centre of the ring); he's a younger man.

"He should be able to take punches from an old and withering man like me."

LATEST SPORTS NEWS:

The fight will be Tyson's first since his exhibition draw with Roy Jones Jr back in 2020.

And the 55-year-old, speaking to Betway Insider, thinks the veteran will secure the victory and add to his legacy in the process.

"Mike Tyson can beat anybody he wants to when he feels like it," he said.

"On the other hand, Jake Paul needs to adjust and learn to do things he hasn't done before.

"Mike will teach him a lesson about boxing as he goes because Mike knows all the ins and outs of the sport.

"That said, Mike could win the fight early and will do that. If Jake can hang around long enough to tire Mike out—and he's a 58-year-old man, that's possible—then he has a great chance."
