Francis Ngannou is set to compete in both boxing and MMA during 2025, according to Professional Fighters League founder Donn Davis, and a rematch against Tyson Fury is on the cards.
Speaking to SunSport, Davis revealed the former UFC heavyweight champion will split his fighting schedule between the two combat sports this year.
The 38-year-old Cameroonian, who recently claimed the PFL's inaugural Super Fight heavyweight championship by defeating Renan Ferreira, will continue his dual-sport career following his high-profile boxing matches against Fury and Anthony Joshua.
"He's considering two options; one boxing, one MMA," Davis told SunSport. "I believe he'll box once in 2025 and he'll do MMA once in 2025."

The exact scheduling remains flexible, with Davis explaining: "What order will be determined really by the opponents and the opportunities."
"And we're thinking about the same way. So I think it's too early to tell.
"Is it boxing and then MMA? Or MMA then boxing? But he'll do one of each in 2025."
Saudi Arabia's boxing chief Turki Alalshikh is expected to play a crucial role in arranging Ngannou's next boxing match.
Alalshikh, who has orchestrated major boxing events including Fury's bouts with Oleksandr Usyk, has expressed interest in staging a cross-over fight between Ngannou and UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

PFL CEO Peter Murray has publicly supported the potential Jones matchup, while a rematch with Fury remains another possibility following their controversial first encounter where Ngannou dropped the British heavyweight.
Deontay Wilder has also been mentioned as a potential boxing opponent for Ngannou by both Alalshikh and Ngannou's striking coach, Dewey Cooper.

Davis highlighted Ngannou's fearless approach to opponent selection, stating: "What I know about Francis is A: he's very, very smart, and B: he really doesn't have any fear, as some other fighters do."
"He never says, 'I prefer versus I prefer,'" Davis added.
"He just thinks this could be easier or harder or more difficult or you'd have to train differently, but he's open to everything."

Deontay Wilder is also a potential next opponent for Francis Ngannou

Wilder appears to be the most logical boxing opponent for Ngannou, considering the American's recent form.
The former WBC heavyweight champion has suffered back-to-back defeats against Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang.
These setbacks could make Wilder a more suitable matchup for 'The Predator' compared to other potential opponents.
