Katie Taylor's latest win over Amanda Serrano proved to be another controversial result.

Eddie Hearn has launched a fresh bid to stage Katie Taylor's trilogy fight against Amanda Serrano at Dublin's Croke Park, expressing confidence the bout would fill the iconic stadium.

The Matchroom Boxing promoter, speaking in Belfast on Tuesday, believes the time is right to bring the historic contest to GAA headquarters.

The push comes just two months after Taylor successfully defended her super-lightweight world titles against Serrano in another thrilling encounter that captured global attention on Netflix.

Hearn believes the financial landscape has shifted significantly following the fight's Netflix exposure and the growing narrative between the two fighters.

Eddie Hearn wants to hold talks with Jake Paul

"I think now, with the size of the Serrano III fight coming off the back of the Netflix audience, the story, Jake Paul's involvement, there is a lot of money in that fight now. More money than ever before," Hearn said.

Previous attempts to secure Croke Park had stalled over costs, but Hearn suggests the increased revenue potential could now overcome those hurdles.

The promoter expressed optimism about the fight's increased viability, suggesting it would undoubtedly attract a capacity crowd.

"People always say would you really do 70,000 or 80,000. I've always believed yes. Now, without a doubt it does," Hearn stated.

He indicated a willingness to collaborate with Serrano's promoter Jake Paul to make the event happen.

"Maybe Mr Paul will get on a plane and come and see the Croke Park boys with me," he added.

The fight at Croke Park remains one of Taylor's primary career ambitions, alongside a bout in Las Vegas.

"There are two things which Katie Taylor wants. Croke Park and Las Vegas. So, really, in terms of ticking off the list for Katie Taylor, we're out of boxes really," Hearn explained.

The promoter reserved special praise for Taylor's achievements.

"She is probably the greatest sportsperson I have worked with and I'd love to see it happen," he said.

Hearn emphasised his determination to deliver the historic Croke Park event for Taylor.

"We'll try to make history. I really want to deliver it for her because she is the most incredible individual," he said.

The prospect of a third encounter between Taylor and Serrano continues to excite the promoter.

"Serrano and Taylor could fight 10 times and every one would be a fight of the year," Hearn declared, underlining the enduring appeal of their rivalry.
