Daniel Dubois has broken his silence after the news emerged that Anthony Joshua would not challenge him in a rematch next year.
Dubois defended his IBF heavyweight crown with a fifth-round knockout of AJ in September.
The defeat was Joshua's fourth of his career following a double-loss to Oleksandr Usyk, as well as being KOed by Andy Ruiz Jr.
A clause in his fight against Dubois meant he could trigger a rematch with a contest scheduled for February 2025.

However, injury concerns for the Briton have ruled him out of any fight and he will not be ready for a potential rematch.
It means Dubois will take on another challenger to his belt with Joseph Parker, Fabio Wardley and Zhilei Zhang potential opponents.
After being asked by Boxing King Media if he had spoken to AJ, Dubois said: “Not as such.
"I’m in my lane and he’s in his. He’s been at the top for a long time now. Whatever he decides to do next, it’s on him.”
When it was put to Triple D that a new fighter will be picked to take him on, he sent a chilling message.

"I’m gonna get back into training soon and sharpen my mind up for whoever they want to throw in with me.
"But I want to get all the other belts and become undisputed … Put them in front of me and I’ll knock ’em down and send them into retirement.”

Meanwhile, the other three major belts are currently held by Oleksandr Usyk, who will face Tyson Fury on December 21 in a rematch.
If Fury can reverse the result of his loss to the Ukrainian earlier this year, it could see a trilogy bout arranged.
However, if the Gypsy King is defeated again, it could open the door to an all-British affair between Fury and Joshua next summer.
