Chris Eubank Jr will lock horns with his nemesis at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend

Chris Eubank Sr has sensationally claimed that his son, Chris Eubank Jr, should have his boxing license revoked ahead of Saturday night's explosive fight with Conor Benn.

Eubank Jr and Benn had originally been due to do battle back in 2022. However, their bout was postponed after the latter failed a doping test - leading to plenty of bad blood between the two.

Benn has since been cleared, with the boxing star admitting the scandal took a huge toll on his mental health.

As for Eubank Jr, the 35-year-old won't have his father in his corner for the showdown at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend.

The duo are no longer close, with Eubank Sr a huge critic of his son's decision to face Benn.

Back in February, Eubank Jr slapped his rival with an egg in a dramatic press conference - with a huge brawl then breaking out.

And his father, discussing that incident with The Sun, has now called for his son to have his license revoked as a result of those antics.

"He must have his licence revoked," said the 58-year-old.

George Groves then interjected, with the Briton saying that Eubank Jr was 'pretty severely' fined £100,000 for his moment of madness.

But Eubank Sr feels that punishment isn't enough, with the British icon adding: "A lot of money? Some people don't earn that money during their careers but it's nothing to him because of the money that he's actually earning.

"But what he's doing is sending a message which makes a mockery of boxing.

"And you're not looking at that and I don't know why you're not looking at that."

Another point of contention has been the weights of both fighters.

Benn is set to weigh around 160lb, which is significantly higher than the usual 148lb.

And Eubank Sr has insisted that the fight shouldn't go ahead as a result. He continued: "Their language is against the rules, their actions which is physical and outside the ring is against the rules.

"Everything - the weight - this is against the rules."

It will certainly be intriguing to see how things play out between the two men on Saturday night.

There have been plenty of fireworks so far and this weekend will likely be no different given the mutual loathing between the two men.

Eubank Jr has won 34 of his 37 bouts so far, losing on three occasions.

As for Benn, the boxing star has won all 23 of his own career fights - with 14 of those victories coming via knockout.
