Chris Eubank Sr made a dramatic U-turn to support his son at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday night, despite previously branding him "a disgrace".
The boxing legend accompanied Chris Eubank Jr to the ring for his fight against Conor Benn, which saw the IBO middleweight title on the line.
The surprise appearance came after a bitter build-up to the bout between the second-generation rivals.
Eubank Sr had been noticeably absent from all pre-fight events, suggesting a fractured relationship with his son.

Now, however, he's opened up on his decision to attend the showdown - insisting the duo have put aside their differences.
"The idea is to keep everyone in suspense or else you give away the show," Eubank Sr told the Daily Mail.
"You have bad actors who give away the show and you have actors who win Oscars.
"He has taken over the last four years of his career. In that time he's learned effectively what I was protecting him from. Experience is invaluable and love is not something you can buy and everyone's looking after their own kingdom.

"When everyone's looking after your kingdom and their not your dad, you're being rinsed and that's a bit cruel. What do I want in terms of goods from my son? I want nothing. I'm father, I'm dad. I'm the king. When I say that, I mean king as in the royal frame of mind which is that I back my son no matter what.
"The egg thing he did, [I was] very disappointed. But I forgive instantly."
The fight followed in the footsteps of their fathers' two classic bouts from the late 1990s.

While Nigel Benn had been present throughout his son's preparations, Eubank Sr's appearance came as a shock to fans.
The dramatic moment of reconciliation was captured on camera as Eubank Sr was filmed backstage emerging from a car.
He immediately put his arm around his son in a gesture that received a thunderous cheer from those in attendance.

The WWE-style segment marked a complete reversal from his previous stance.
Adding to the emotional significance, Eubank Jr entered the ring to his father's old Tina Turner theme song.
Eubank Jr, meanwhile, expressed his delight after beating Benn in north London.

“I didn’t know he had what [Benn] had in him,” said the 35-year-old.
“I really didn’t. I thought I would break him early. I underestimated him. I didn’t train for a fight like that. I didn’t know he had that in him. He’s never shown that.
"But then again, he’s never had to show it. He had to show it tonight. So did I.”
