The Gypsy King will be returning to the ring later this month

Boxing fans fear Tyson Fury has put a curse on himself after showing off his slimmer physique ahead of his fight with Oleksandr Usyk.

Supporters from all over the world are set to tune in to the bout, which will take place in Saudi Arabia on May 18.

Fury was poor last time, with the 35-year-old labouring to victory over Francis Ngannou back in October.

He has, however, been hard at work in the gym and has now taken to Instagram to show off a picture of his ripped physique, flexing his muscles in the process.

Fury accompanied his upload with Drake's hit tune God's Plan playing in the background.

But with the rapper previously betting on big sporting names, only for them to lose, some fans fear he's now 'cursed' himself.

"Damn why u’re playing drake, you have summoned the curse upon you my son," said one user.

"Drake = automatic defeat," said a second.

"Buddy should’ve played Kendrick music," quipped a third.

A fourth said: "No drake."

And a fifth stated: "No drake music!!! Take it off it'll jynx everything."

However, Fury does appear to be in outstanding shape as the showdown rapidly approaches - which bodes well as he looks to become undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

Not everybody is convinced his weight loss is a good thing, however.

Carl Froch, speaking to Fastest Payout Online Casino, believes it could actually hinder the Briton because of how crucial his size has been in the past.

He said: “I’m not sure if [Fury coming in light] is a good thing to be honest.

"That weight allowed him to bully Deontay Wilder, lean on him, tie him up and just have his own way.

"When it gets on top for Fury, when he’s under pressure, he’s able to sit back, get hold of the back of his opponent’s neck, lean on him and use his body weight to get himself out of trouble.

"If he’s losing weight and he’s slimmer, he could struggle.

"I’d like to see him perform at a slimmer weight.”
