Usyk has been tipped to beat Fury in February's mega undisputed fight

Former world featherweight champion Josh Warrington believes Oleksandr Usyk will have too much for Tyson Fury.

Warrington has backed the Ukrainian to overcome the Gypsy King, claiming he has the 'boxing skills and defence' to beat him.

Fury and Usyk will enter the ring in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on February 17 in a mega undisputed fight.

The pair will put their belts and their unbeaten professional records on the line.

Fury heads into the fight following an unconvincing win over former MMA star Francis Ngannou last October.

Many felt he was fortunate to win via a split decision in Ngannou's debut boxing match.

Warrington believes Fury looked way short of his best and is concerned what that could mean heading into the Usyk bout.

He doesn't think Fury's size and height advantage will have too much of an impact.

Warrington initially thought Fury would be the winner but says he is now edging towards Usyk.

He says the 37-year-old will have 'too much' on the night for his opponent.

Warrington told Lucky Block: "It’s a clash of styles. There’s not many fighters who stand nearly seven feet tall, can move the way Tyson Fury does.

"With that being said, the Francis Ngannou fight has done him no credit whatsoever. He didn’t look the same, he didn’t look like Tyson Fury of old.

"I know Usyk is a hell of a boxer, he has got so many skills. So I have sat on the fence a few times, I’ve kind of leaned towards Fury a couple of times, but at this moment in time I’m leaning towards Usyk.

"The size difference isn’t that big and I feel that Usyk’s boxing skills and defence is just going to be too much."

Meanwhile, Fury's dad John is backing his son to beat Usyk and maintain his unbeaten record.

However, he admits Usyk has the skill set to make any fighter look like a 'fool'.

John Fury told the Daily Mail: "Usyk is a class boxer. He's tricky, his coordination is good, his movement is good, he leans out of the way of punches and he's hard to pin down.

"If you can't set traps and pose problems for a man like Oleksandr Usyk, he's just going to make a fool out of you in the ring.

"At the end of the day, that straight-up Kronk style, what he [Tyson] was doing with Francis Ngannou won't work against Usyk.

"Ngannou wouldn't have been able to land a glove on the old Tyson.

"You're fighting a man with different intellect here. You're fighting a man with brains. He's a very intelligent man and so is his team.

"They've got to make some major adjustments to Tyson's camp. Luckily, Tyson can win on a bad night.

"He will just revert back to what he wants to do anyway. If things aren't going well, he will revert back to what he does best. It's instinct."
