The two men are due to face each other on February 17

Tyson Fury is 'doing some bonus levels' ahead of his fight with Oleksandr Usyk, according to coach Andy Lee.

The Gypsy King is currently preparing for the fight on February 17, which will be the first heavyweight showdown since the days of Lennox Lewis.

Some aren't sure which version of Fury will turn up for the contest, however.

The 35-year-old has been heavily scrutinised ever since his narrow victory over Francis Ngannou at the end of October.

Yet Lee claims Fury is well up for the fight and actually believes Deontay Wilder is the toughest opponent the Briton has faced.

He also says Fury is more motivated than ever before and is eager to come out on top when the fight takes place in less than two months' time.

"No, it’s Wilder," he said when asked if Usyk was Fury's toughest battle.

"It’s Wilder, he’s like the final boss, Tyson has completed the game and now he’s doing some bonus levels.

"Usyk is smaller, older, big amateur career, miles on the clock, just like Tyson.

“They talk about his footwork and his boxing ability, but Tyson’s footwork and boxing ability is as good.

"He is slick, I love the eastern European fighters because in everything they do, there is method behind it, there’s science behind it, there is no guessing with those guys.

“The feints, the footwork [of Usyk is brilliant], but Tyson has lined up some good sparring partners and he’s well up for this challenge.

"I’ve never seen Tyson as motivated, even like a year-and-a-half or two years ago when this fight with Usyk was being mentioned, how we would come into the gym, he is going to be up for the fight.”

Lee also coaches Joseph Parker.

And he'd have been delighted at the way Parker dismantled Deontay Wilder on December 23.

Fury did, however, raise eyebrows earlier this month.

The Gypsy King jetted out to Saudi Arabia for a holiday with his family, leading to some concerns he wasn't taking his fight with Usyk seriously.

Fury was seen parasailing and appeared relaxed as he spent some time with his wife, Paris, and their seven children.

Yet a source told The Sun that Usyk's camp were far from impressed.

"While Tyson Fury is enjoying his break in Saudi Arabia we are working hard on fight preparation," a Usyk insider told the publication.

“We already have over 50 candidates for sparring who responded to our call and met the criteria.

“Three of them are signed up as the sparring partners for Oleksandr.

"Unfortunately I can't reveal their names now, the team is very careful with the information from the camp.”

Both Fury and Usyk are yet to lose as their showdown creeps closer.
