Iron Mike will return to the ring on November 15 after a four-year absence

Boxing star Anthony Taylor has warned Mike Tyson that Jake Paul's power could be 'devastating' when they meet in the ring later this year.

Iron Mike is a legend of the sport and arguably the greatest heavyweight of all time.

He will return to the ring after a four-year absence on November 15, having last fought Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition bout back in 2020.

However, with Tyson 58 and Paul 27, the upcoming bout has become embroiled in controversy.

Many have condemned the fight, which will be sanctioned as a professional fight with two-minute rounds.

And Taylor, speaking to Instant Casino, believes Tyson will struggle with the 'devastating' power that Paul possesses.

"The power that Jake is showing at the moment, that’s going to be devastating for Mike Tyson," Taylor said.

"There’s no way his body is going to be able to stand up to it. Mike Tyson is going to be remembered for getting knocked out by the Disney kid.

"Jake will then forever be known as 'Iron’ Jake Paul and I'm here for it."

Paul is still relatively new to boxing, with just 11 professional fights on his CV.

Yet he's won 10 of those bouts, with his defeat to Tommy Fury last year the only time he's failed to come out on top.

Paul went into his recent fight with Mike Perry knowing defeat would all but end his chances of facing Tyson.

However, he was too strong for his opponent with the 27-year-old winning via knockout.

Paul, speaking in the ring after his triumph, urged Tyson to 'sign the contract' and make their fight happen.

He also insisted the boxing icon was looking 'crazier than ever', though says he's determined to silence his critics.

“Mike Tyson, you’re next big boy,” Paul said. “Sign the contract, 15 November on Netflix. 100 per cent, it’s happening.

"Everybody said I was making a mistake with this fight [against Perry], but I take risks.”

Paul also revealed he'd struggled prior to his win over Perry, branding himself a 'warrior' in the process.

"I didn't feel very good tonight," he added. “I was sick before and my knuckle is swollen. It was basically broken before the fight.
