The YouTuber-turned-boxer has taken to social media to provide clarity

Jake Paul has set the record straight after accidentally saying that Mike Tyson had 'Parkinson's' before their fight back in November.

Paul won the bout at the AT&T Stadium in Texas, with his rival looking a shadow of the man who previously dominated the sport.

However, there was controversy earlier this week when the YouTuber-turned-boxer appeared to suggest that Tyson had Parkinson's.

He said: “Ayahuasca’s really good for your brain as well.

"Same with Toad, Toad is what Parkinson’s… oh sorry, Toad cured Tyson’s Parkinson’s so he could come back and fight."

However, the 28-year-old has now backtracked and insisted that he 'misspoke' - while condemning people on the internet who had bombarded him with abuse for his comments.

He said: “Bruh…Mike Tyson didn’t have no Parkinson.

“WTF. Why the f**k is the internet so stupid for. I misspoke. Meant he used toad to heal his pain.

Tyson's team have also released a statement insisting the 58-year-old isn't suffering from Parkinson's.

They told TMZ: “Mike is happy and perfectly healthy.

"He doesn’t have Parkinson’s or any other illness.”

The fight between Tyson and Paul had originally been due to take place in July. However, it was pushed back after the boxing icon suffered an ulcer flare up.

Tyson later revealed that he 'nearly died' as a result, with the 58-year-old unconcerned by his defeat to his young rival as a result.

"This is one of those situations when you lost but still won," he posted on social media.

"I’m grateful for last night. No regrets to getting in the ring one last time.

"I almost died in June. Had eight blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight, so I won."

He added: "To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish eight rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for.

"Thank you."

Immediately after his defeat to Paul, Tyson indicated he'd be open to facing the 28-year-old's brother, Logan.
