His girlfriend, Leerdam, has nothing but positive things to say about how well he's performed during his time in the sport.
However, she does fear that one punch from Tyson could mean 'lights out' for her other half despite his obvious ability.
Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, she said: "The progression Jake has made is not normal. Other athletes, they make a few percentage points of progression a year, if at all.
"Jake makes so much in a year. So I do trust his skills. I'm very proud of him.

"But of course, Mike Tyson could give one punch that is harder than Mike has ever thrown - and it will be lights out for Jake."
Tyson is one of the best heavyweights of all time.
The 58-year-old's professional career ended with two defeats, however, including an infamous loss to Kevin McBride in Las Vegas back in 2005.
Tyson did return to boxing four years ago for an exhibition clash with Roy Jones Jr.
That showdown ended in a draw, however, and it'll be fascinating to see how the veteran fares when he makes his blockbuster comeback next month.
Paul, meanwhile, is fully aware that he'll be playing the 'villain role' in his fight with Tyson.
The American is a divisive figure in boxing and has been ever since giving it a go four years ago.
Paul, however, insists that he's ready to defy his doubters as he prepares for the biggest night of his career.

"It will probably always be that way," he said when asked about fans likely supporting Tyson more than himself.
“So we just embrace the villain role. I can detach from the guy I play in these press conferences from who I am personally, and it just makes all the content better."
He continued: "The line of hate is very close to love. And jealousy is just love plus hate.
"I think that’s where all the hate for me originally came from, like, ‘Look at this young guy who’s living his life, mansion, cars, girls.’ I’m 21 and insecure and I see a 21-year-old living this crazy life? I’m going to be like, ‘F**k this guy,’ too.”
