The Briton could face either fighter later in the year

Anthony Joshua has said he won't be like 'crying' boxing fans when Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk fight next month.

The two men are currently gearing up for their showdown in Saudi Arabia, which is due to take place on February 17.

Joshua is focused on his own upcoming bout with Francis Ngannou, which will take place in Saudi on March 8.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the 34-year-old has been asked for his verdict as the battle between Fury and Usyk looms.

And Joshua thinks Usyk will win, though has taken aim at 'crying' fans by saying he won't spend time dwelling on the result.

"It's going to be a good fight. I think Usyk edges it," he said.

"I'm not really bothered. I just want them both to be healthy and leave the ring.

"It's a tough game. So that's all I can ask for, that they leave the ring healthy.

"In terms of how it goes, it doesn't affect my life, in a way.

"I'm not like one of those fans that starts crying because someone won or lost.

"It is what it is. Tomorrow comes around. Good luck to both of them."

While Joshua thinks Usyk will win, he'd rather fight Fury.

The two men have long exchanged verbal blows, with Fury accusing AJ of being too scared to face him.

Joshua added: "Probably the opportunity to fight Tyson Fury. I think that's a better fight for the fans and myself."

Ngannou is, however, very much Joshua's priority at the current moment in time.

The former MMA star remains an unknown quantity, having only had one professional fight so far.

Ngannou did impress against Fury back in October, knocking the Gypsy King down in round three of their blockbuster clash.

It was a moment that stunned the boxing world, especially due to the 38-year-old's lack of experience.

And Joshua thinks he'll fare better against Ngannou than Fury did nearly three months ago.

"Not really," he said when asked if bettering Fury's display is a motivation for him.

"Me and Fury are completely different fighters, stylistically, mentally, physically - all that stuff.

"I'm only going to do what I can do in that ring, and that should be better than what he did."

Joshua has also warned Ngannou not to take confidence from his win over Fury.

And that's because of his own triumph over Otto Wallin, who previously pushed the Briton hard, back in December.

"Victory over Wallin was particularly satisfying," he stated.

"Tyson Fury went 12 hard rounds with him. He spoke a good game.

"He thought because he had boxed Fury and done well against him and nearly gave him his first loss due to the cut, he probably could do the same to me, but it was not going to be the case."
