The two men will do battle at Wembley on Saturday night

Daniel Dubois' team have shut down claims that the boxing star has sacked his trainer, Don Charles, ahead of his bout with Anthony Joshua on Saturday night.

Both men are currently preparing for the showdown, which is set to take place at a packed Wembley Stadium.

Speculation was rife earlier this week when Charles was absent from the Grand Arrivals on Tuesday.

He was also missing from the Public Workouts the next day, with some fans claiming he'd been relieved of his duties.

However, talkSPORT insist that isn't the case and that Charles remains Dubois' head trainer.

He is set to be in his corner, as planned, when he duels Joshua on Saturday night.

Dubois goes into the clash hoping to beat his opponent and replace him as the poster boy of British boxing.

But that will be no easy task, especially given Joshua's resurgent form over the past 18 months.

He was written off by many after losing to Oleksandr Usyk for a second time in 2022.

However, with AJ since winning his last four bouts, the 34-year-old is now very much a man on the up once again.

Dubois is the underdog as the mouthwatering showdown in the capital rapidly approaches.

Speaking to Sky Sports earlier this week, however, he insisted he was capable of beating Joshua and making his rival 'quit'.

"I've got to make him quit, break him down, That's my mindset going into this. Making him quit, breaking him," Dubois told Sky Sports.

"I believe I can."

Dubois added: "I'm turning it round now at this stage of my career. I've come through my ups and downs, just turning it round.

"Enjoy the moment, let all the talking be done, let all the statements be made. I'm in a good place right now and I'm ready to fight."

Joshua, meanwhile, has vowed to put on a show.

He was particularly impressive during his win over Francis Ngannou back in March, with the Watford-born star flooring his opponent in the second round.

And Joshua says he's ready to entertain fans as he looks to continue his stunning resurgence.

"The thing is with our sport, in a gladiatorial and historical fashion, if you get in the ring and I make it boring, no-one is going to want to see that, unfortunately," he told TNT Sports.

"So I owe it to the paying public to go out as a fighter.

"To go out there as a fighter, gladiator, warrior and demonstrate my ability that I can decapitate my opponent.

"That is why people tune in, because I try, and I’m going to keep trying."
