When asked by talkSPORT how many Oleksandr Usyks it would take to defeat a silverback gorilla, the Ukrainian fighter gave an unexpected response.

The playful comments came during promotion for his upcoming undisputed heavyweight title fight with Daniel Dubois.
The viral debate originated on Reddit in 2020 but has recently gained renewed attention across social media platforms.
Usyk's response reflected remarkable faith in his sons, who have opted to compete in judo rather than boxing.
Kyrylo and Mykhailo are just 12 and 10 years old respectively.
When the interviewer followed up by asking if one Oleksandr would be enough to defeat a gorilla, the 38-year-old confidently responded: "Yeah, yeah."

Users have been weighing up various scenarios in the hypothetical human-versus-gorilla matchup.
Usyk's lighthearted engagement with the viral debate shows his relaxed demeanour ahead of his high-stakes rematch.
The Ukrainian fighter has been in training camp for several weeks preparing for the July contest.
The blockbuster rematch between Usyk and Dubois was confirmed on Sunday and will take place on July 19 at Wembley Stadium.
All four major belts will once again be on the line in this highly anticipated contest.

That vacated title is now held by Dubois, making this a true undisputed championship fight.
The Ukrainian champion defeated Fury for a second time in December 2024, cementing his status at the top of the division.
Usyk had initially turned his focus toward the winner of a planned Dubois vs Joseph Parker bout.

However, Dubois withdrew from that fight due to illness, with Parker instead facing and defeating Martin Bakole on points in Saudi Arabia.
Following these developments, Usyk and Dubois entered negotiations, with the IBF champion emerging as the natural next opponent.
The July 19 bout reignites a rivalry that began last August in Poland, where Usyk stopped Dubois in the ninth round.
That first encounter was not without controversy, however.

A body shot that dropped Usyk was ruled a low blow earlier in the contest.
This contentious decision left Dubois' camp feeling they had been denied a legitimate victory.
The ruling allowed Usyk time to recover before he went on to win by stoppage.
