The former boxer will be training Francis Ngannou for the ex-UFC star's upcoming fight
Mike Tyson believes Francis Ngannou will beat Tyson Fury when the two fighters lock horns on October 28.
The former heavyweight champion has been confirmed to be in Ngannou's team for the upcoming showdown in Saudi arabia.
And Tyson has now released a statement expressing a belief his man will win, warning Fury it'll be 'game over' when the punches start landing.
“It is no secret I back Ngannou 100 per cent in this face-off of champions," he said.
Francis Ngannou will go up against Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia on October 28
"He has one hard punch, and when it lands, it’s game over.
"I am looking forward to working with Ngannou and supporting his transition from the Octagon to the boxing ring.
"He isn’t a combat novice; he is a world champion. The key will be combining his energy and combat skills into his punches and using his agility to move swiftly around the ring then delivering the knock-out blow.
"We’re here to win.”
Ngannou retired from UFC at the start of 2023 following failed contract negotiations.
He then opted to sign with the Professional Fighters League and, with Fury struggling to agree a fight with Oleksandr Usyk, will now face off against the 34-year-old.
Ngannou is excited to have Tyson in his corner, while also warning Fury he's entering the ring to reign supreme.
“Bringing Mike Tyson into my training camp is one of the best decisions I can make to prepare for Tyson Fury in the ring at this year’s Riyadh Season," he said.
"Mike Tyson is an idol of mine in the sport.
"His experience and boxing IQ will be important to honing my technique under his guidance to win this super-fight.
"I’ve been wanting this fight for years and now that it’s here, I’m focused on fighting the greatest fight of my career and shocking the world on the most epic stage for the fans in Riyadh.
"October 28, the world will know who’s the ‘Baddest Man on The Planet’.”
Fury has faced criticism for agreeing to fight Ngannou.
Many want the 34-year-old to go up against either Usyk or Anthony Joshua.
However, negotiations with both fighters have failed to result in an agreement and that's why he's now preparing for an alternative battle instead.
Dave Allen, who knows Fury personally, thinks the boxer should be stripped of his titles.
Yet Ricky Hatton, speaking to Genting Casino, has now defended the Brit.
"You can’t blame Tyson for taking the fight or begrudge him the money that he will make from it," he said.
"Look at his options. Tyson vs Usyk hasn’t happened. Tyson vs AJ hasn’t happened. Usyk has to fight Dubios as he is the mandatory contender, so that rules out a fight with Fury.
"The fight with Ngannou might be the only fight that is available for him.

"At least there’s quite a good story to the fight, Ngannou is such a big puncher….Usyk isn’t available. AJ isn’t available. Whyte isn’t available. Dubois isn’t available. What can Tyson do?"
Hatton also claims Fury only wants to fight the best in the sport.
"I don’t think anyone can point their finger at Tyson and say that he doesn’t want to fight the best," continued the 44-year-old.
"He’s fought the best and he’s beat the best. I know that he wants the AJ fight, the Usyk fight.
"Those fights aren’t there for him at the moment so what’s the man to do? Although these fights aren’t necessarily good for the sport of boxing, I think this could have been the best move that Tyson could have made."
