The former Tottenham and Leicester star is rolling in the money

Gary Lineker leads the way when it comes to the net worth of sports presenters in the United Kingdom.

The former Leicester and Tottenham star has been a prominent figure on Match of the Day over the years.

He has also worked for the BBC for numerous international tournaments, too, involving the World Cup and European Championships.

The Sun have compiled a list of the 10 highest-earning sports presenters.

And Lineker, who has a huge net worth of around £30million, sits comfortably at the top of the table.

In fact, the BBC dominate the list in total - with half of their presenters featuring.

Behind Lineker is Mark Chapman, who has worked on the Match of the Day 2 show for a number of years.

He also hosts Sports Report on BBC 5 Live, while he also works on the Monday Night Club.

Chapman is also working with Sky Sports these days, having signed up to present Carabao Cup matches.

He has a net worth of a cool £5m - which is a staggering £25m less than Lineker.

Coming in third is Sky Sports' Dave Jones.

Jones fronts the broadcaster's coverage of Super Sunday and Monday Night Football.

Before that he worked on Sky Sports News, joining the channel for their launch all the way back in 1998.

Jones has a net worth of £4m and often has to keep the peace between pundits such as Roy Keane, Micah Richards, Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher.

Back to the BBC and Gabby Logan is their highest-paid female presenter.

She previously left ITV for the Beeb back in 2007 and, like Jones, has a net worth of £4m.

Presenting Final Score and numerous Olympic Games have made her a household name up and down the country.

Next up in fifth is former Tottenham and Newcastle star Jermaine Jenas.

Jenas, who is widely expected to take over from Lineker as Match of the Day presenter whenever the 62-year-old calls it a day, is said to have a net worth of £3m.

Next on the list is TNT Sports and ITV presenter Laura Woods.

Woods has spoken in the past about rising from the bottom in order to make a name for herself in the industry.

The 36-year-old has earned every penny by working for numerous broadcasters over the years.

She has a net worth of £2m and is TNT Sports' leading host for their Champions League matches these days.

Ranking in seventh is Alex Scott.

Football Focus has seen numbers dwindle ever since Scott replaced Dan Walker as host of Football Focus in 2019.

The pair even recently had a tense exchange - both on social media and at a charity event.

But Scott, who is a regular on BBC's football coverage these days, is laughing all the way to the bank.

She is currently worth £1.5m.

Completing the rest of the richlist is Jules Breach, Emma Paton and Kelly Somers.

Breache has made her name presenting for BT Sport and also works for Channel 4 as well.

The 36-year-old has a net worth of £700,000 - which puts her narrowly ahead of Paton.

Paton, who is worth £650,000, leads Sky Sports' coverage of tennis and darts.

She has been working with the corporation since 2012 but has become a far more prominent figure in recent years.

As for Somers, the BBC and Premier League Productions journalist has a net worth of £600,00. She is also known for regularly hitting back at online trolls who give her sexist abuse - often naming and shaming them on social media.
