The couple are currently in Australia while their daughter Mia has remained in the UK

Zara Tindall and Mike Tindall will miss their eldest daughter's 11th birthday tomorrow as they remain in Australia for the Magic Millions carnival.

Mia Tindall has remained in the UK with her siblings Lena, six, and Lucas, three, as the children returned to school after the Christmas break earlier this month.

Mike and Zara have been enjoying the glitz and glamour of the Gold Coast event but will mark their daughter's special milestone from afar.

The Tindalls consider Australia their "home from home" and traditionally begin their year with the Magic Millions carnival.

Before their Australian trip, the family enjoyed quality time together at Cheltenham racecourse.

Mia and Lena were spotted showing their enthusiasm in the stands, eagerly cheering on the jockeys and their horses.

The family day out also included Zara's brother Peter Phillips, who attended with his girlfriend Harriet Sperling.

The children's presence at the racecourse reflects their growing interest in sports, with Mike previously telling HELLO!: "Both Mia and Lena go to Minchinhampton rugby club on a Sunday and they are only nine and four so we've got to give them a bit of time before the pressure comes on but they love all sports and they play rugby as well."

The Tindall children are frequently seen supporting their mother Zara during her equestrian competitions and horse trials.

Zara explained to HELLO! that Queensland has become a cherished destination for their family's start to each year.

"We have been coming to Queensland for so long now it has become a tradition for the start of the year," she said.

The mother-of-three appreciates the combination of beach life and equestrian events during their visits.

She added: "Although the Magic Millions carnival is busy with so much going on, being by the beach, with like-minded horse enthusiasts celebrating all things equine we couldn't ask for a better way to start the year."

The sporting genes appear strong in the family, with Mia already showing promise in horseriding, football and rugby.

The young royal tracks in the footsteps of her Olympic equestrian mother and former England rugby player father.
