The 43-year-old daughter of Princess Anne will appear in a new documentary giving insight into the final day of Cheltenham Festival and the Gold Cup.

It comes as Tindall faced heartbreak after it was announced she would not be representing Team GB at the Paris Olympics this summer, over a decade since her silver medal glory at London 2012.

Tindall told Vogue in 2022 that she was back in training for the Olympics, attempting to balance her riding with looking after her three children.

She a gold medal at the European Eventing Championships in 2005 and a silver at the World Equestrian Games in 2006, after which she won BBC Sports Personality of the Year.

Former royal protection officer Richard Griffin said the Late Queen Elizabeth was "too nervous" to watch Zara compete.

He said: "I remember once when I was up at Balmoral with The Queen, and Zara was competing in the Olympic Games, and looked like she was going to win a medal.

"And I thought I would be flying down to Greenwich to watch her get on, but the Queen said to me 'I’m just so nervous, I can’t face up to it. Let’s just go out for a picnic.'

"So we drove up to one of the mountainsides, one of the cabins and we had a little private picnic just the two of us."
