Zara and Mike regularly participate in the royals' festive celebrations

Zara and Mike Tindall attended MBN Event’s Sportsman’s festive dinner just days before the royal pre-Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace, which Prince Andrew has decided not to attend.

Princess Anne's daughter, 43, was spotted wearing the Battista pinstripe blazer from Veronica Beard.

The single-breasted style was worn over a sumptuous satin blouse by the royal.

Zara also wore trousers from Veronica Beard to complete her outfit.

Royal enthusiasts were quick to point out that the mother of three had deliberately twinned with her husband Mike, who sat beside her in an uncannily similar grey suit.

Zara was last spotted wearing her Veronica Beard blazer at the Badminton Horse Trials in May.

She styled the £648 jacket with white skinny jeans and white trainers.

The Duke of York will not attend the upcoming dinner at the palace.

His last-minute withdrawal comes after consultations with his ex-wife, who persuaded him not to attend.

The gathering at Buckingham Palace, which takes place on December 19, is expected to host 70 members of the Royal Family.

Zara and Mike regularly participate in the royals' festive celebrations, appearing at the Christmas day walk to St Mary Magdalene Church in recent years.

The royal couple have previously brought their daughters, Mia and Lena, to join the walk and spend time with their cousins.

The festive appearance marks one of their final UK appearances before heading to Australia's Gold Coast next month.

The royals will join the Magic Millions equestrian carnival in Australia after spending Christmas with the Royal Family at Sandringham.

Speaking to the Australian Financial Review Magazine, Zara, who has been the face of Magic Millions since 2012, expressed her enthusiasm for the Gold Coast event: "Galloping down the beach, on the Gold Coast, is fairly unique."

The Tindall's will travel without their children, as the 10-day event coincides with the start of the school term in January.
