Kate and William are "managing expectations" with their latest update on the princess's health, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield has claimed.
Speaking to GB News, Schofield said: ""They wanted to give us a little bit of insight into what's been going on in their lives this summer, but I also think they wanted to caution us about what's to come.
"The Princess of Wales is not just going to throw herself back into work. It was a very beautiful way of saying we need to manage your expectations going forward.
"What a privilege to be able to see this aspect of their lives. And I felt like it was them telling us family first. And we want to manage your expectations. The Princess of Wales is not going to be back-to-back. We're not going to see her the way that we used to see her."
