The singer was supposed to be in the Coronation lineup according to Scobie

Taylor Swift fans have torn Omid Scobie's inaccurate claim apart as his new book Endgame has sparked backlash.

Fans of the singer took to social media in droves after Swift was accused of "snubbing" King Charles's Coronation.

"Swifties" took to X with fury after Scobie claimed the songstress opted out of performing at King Charles’s Coronation.

The author released his new royal book Endgame on Tuesday, which is described by its publishers as “a penetrative investigation into the current state of the British monarchy.”

As well as the alleged ongoing feud between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and the rest of the Royal Family, the author discussed the Coronation Concert that took place in May.

King Charles and Queen Camilla were crowned in Westminster Abbey on May 6 with millions watching.

After the ceremony, a star-studded concert took place with performances from Andrea Bocelli, Lionel Richie, Take That, and Katy Perry.

According to Scobie, Taylor Swift was supposed to be among the line-up.

This claim infuriated fans of the singer who took to X to defend their idol, saying she was midway through her successful Eras tour.

A furious fan wrote: “Look at this utterly shameless lying.

"Taylor Swift was in the middle of her ERAS tour.

"I WAS AT THE SHOW IN NASHVILLE THE NIGHT OF THE CORONATION.”

Another person added: “She was literally playing a gig on the other side of the world. What did you want Taylor Swift to do? Time travel?"

Someone else commented: “Taylor Swift couldn't do it as she was on tour singing in Tennessee."

Omid Scobie's book has come under fire as the two "royal racists" appear to have been named in the Dutch translation.

The book has since been pulled off the shelves in Holland with the correct version being available for release on December 8.
