The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh's children should begin duties as working royals, Lady Colin Campbell has claimed.
The comments come as the monarchy remains slimmed down as King Charles and Princess Kate recover from cancer treatment and abdominal surgery in private.
Queen Camilla has also taken a break from public engagements to be with the King, as Prince William continues to take on the majority of the workload.
The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Prince Edward and Sophie, have also been seen in recent weeks taking up engagements, as they celebrated the Duke's upcoming 60th birthday in Leeds today.

Giving a speech at the Community Sport and Recreation Awards, the Duchess said Edward is "the best of fathers, the most loving of husbands and he is still my best friend".
Edward appeared visibly moved as the couple shared an embrace and cut a specially made birthday cake.
Discussing the slimmed down monarchy on GBN America, Lady Colin Campbell called for Prince Edward's children, Lady Louise and James, Earl of Wessex, to be incorporated into the working royal fold.
The socialite and commentator praised the work of Prince Edward and said he is "simply divine".

Lady C told host Nana Akua: "He's a really nice man, and I don't know Sophie personally, but I have friends who know her very well and they have very good reports of her."

In a discussion about the dwindling numbers of current working royals, Lady C suggested that the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh's children should be brought into the fold.
She told GBN America: "He's divine, and I think he's wonderful. I would hope that their children will be incorporated as working royals.
"I think it was always a terrible mistake that they were not known by their rightful rank of Prince and Princess and that they were not earmarked to join the rank of working royals from birth."
Lady C noted that the monarchy now has "too few working feet on the ground" and Prince William and Queen Camilla "need" royals such as Louise and James to step up to duties.

Lady C stated: "It's turned out that we now have too few feet on the ground, and we need Louise and we need James as well for the coming generation. Otherwise, we're going to have far too few royals.
Nana agreed, admitting: "We can't have that. I love the Royal Family. We all love the Royal Family.
"Most British people realise they are better than a bunch of politicians."
