The Duchess of Edinburgh has become the latest royal to join Princess Charlotte and King Charles in a new trend.
Sophie, 59, has become the latest royal to wear a colourful friendship bracelet during an official engagement.
The mother-of-two was seen cheering on Team GB as the cycling team made history, smashing the women's team sprint world record and securing the gold medal at the Bercy Arena.
Pictures showed Sophie, who has been the patron of the British Cycling Federation since 2018, reacting with delight to the win.
Royals including King Charles and Princess Charlotte have been spotted wearing the colourful friendship bracelets in recent weeks.
During a visit to Channel Island, King Charles, 75, was pictured wearing a friendship bracelet that bore a striking similarity to one worn by Princess Charlotte days earlier.
The nine-year-old wore the piece of jewellery during her visit to watch the gentlemen's singles final at Wimbledon with her mother Princess Kate.
Prince George has also been seen wearing a friendship bracelet, with the 11-year-old sporting one in the official portrait released to mark his birthday this year.

The trend of wearing and exchanging friendship bracelets has been rising in popularity this summer after Taylor Swift's Eras Tour.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte were both in attendance at the concert alongside their father Prince William.
Charlotte is thought to be a huge Taylor Swift fan.
Speaking to ET, an insider said: "Princess Charlotte wanted to go to the concert for months, but with her mum being treated for cancer, this was a really special day to be able to celebrate her Papa's birthday like this."
