Sarah Ferguson has taken to social media following the tragic death of Michelle Trachtenberg, Princess Eugenie's close friend.
The Duchess of York shared an Instagram post about her visit to The Francis Crick Institute but ensured to avoid any direct reference to the actress's passing.
In her Instagram post, Fergie wrote: "I had the privilege of visiting The Francis Crick Institute yesterday - a world-leading biomedical research facility that @cr_uk, a charity incredibly close to my heart, helped found and which they continue to fund."

"Having faced cancer myself, I know just how crucial the work of @cr_uk is and the profound impact that research, support, and early detection can have on lives," she continued.
Her post focused entirely on cancer research rather than addressing her daughter's heartbreak.
Meanwhile, Princess Eugenie paid a heartbreaking tribute to Trachtenberg, who was found dead in her Manhattan apartment on Wednesday at the age of 39.
The pair had formed a close bond when Eugenie was living in New York in 2013.
"Goodbye special friend. You are so loved and missed. Thank you for so many memories and laughter and fun. You were so thoughtful and generous and sooo funny," she wrote.
The Princess of York added: "My favourite was listening to you order food, always done with precision so you got exactly what we all wanted.
"I'm thinking of you up there, my friend, of your spirit that was so bright and the joy you brought to so many."
Eugenie and Trachtenberg's friendship first became public when they were photographed together at Madison Square Garden in December 2013, watching a basketball game.

The actress once described the royal as "one of the dearest, kindest and most genuine friends" she had ever had.
Their bond continued, despite Eugenie eventually returning to London.
In 2016, Trachtenberg shared a photo of them at the Hauser & Wirth art gallery in Los Angeles, affectionately referring to the royal as "my girl E".
"Friends who art together stay together!" she wrote at the time.
