Sarah Ferguson leaves UK after spending Christmas with Prince Andrew

It comes just days after the Duchess of York spent Christmas at Royal Lodge with her former husband, Prince Andrew.

The pair, who reside together at the Windsor property, missed the Christmas celebrations at the Sandringham Estate following Andrew's recent connection to a "spy" scandal.

In the video, Sarah said: "Hello from Austria from Altaussee.

"A very very happy new year to you all, and thank you.

"Just huge gratitude, huge love."

The duchess added: "You can see it's minus seven out here", as she blew three times down the camera.

She concluded: "Let's make joy bubbles, really embrace the love, and always turn to joy."

The duchess captioned the post: "Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!"

Fergie appeared surprised by the bang of a firework that interrupted her mid-monologue.

She is thought to have persuaded Prince Andrew to spend Christmas Day at Royal Lodge after the younger brother of King Charles was revealed to have links to an alleged Chinese "spy".

The Duke of York was described as a "close confidant" of Yang Tengbo, who was banned from the UK on national security grounds.

Fergie, who has maintained a friendship with Andrew for nearly two decades since their divorce, has continued to show support for the duke publicly.

The former couple's eldest daughter, Princess Beatrice, joined King Charles and the wider Royal Family at Sandringham.

The family greeted royal enthusiasts outside St Mary Magdalene church.

Meanwhile, Princess Eugenie, 34, celebrated the festive season with her husband Jack Brooksbank and his family.
