I am one of the biggest admirers of the Princess of Wales's style - one of the most beautiful women in the world, inside and out.
When reports dropped that Kensington Palace would no longer confirm what Princess Kate is wearing, I initially felt quite dismayed.
A Palace source told the Times: "There is an absolute feeling that it [the public work] is not about what the princess is wearing.
"She wants the focus to be on the really important issues, the people and the causes she is spotlighting. There will always be an appreciation of what the princess is wearing from some of the public and she gets that.

"But do we need to be officially always saying what she is wearing? No. The style is there but it’s about the substance."
The publication noted that Kensington Palace may still occasionally comment on significant outfits, but not for the everyday types of engagements.
It is certainly true that the Princess of Wales, 43, carries out extremely important work - from attending children's hospices and championing the importance of the early years, to also raising awareness about mental health.
However, she is also one of the best-dressed women in Britain, and we should not be afraid to celebrate this.
Her late mother-in-law, Diana, Princess of Wales, was regularly touted as the most beautiful woman in the world during her lifetime.
But she also was renowned for her incredible advocacy - from helping to destigmatise AIDs in the 1980s and 1990s, to openly campaigning against landmines in Angola.
When people think of Diana, she is remembered for her charity endeavours as well as her sartorial prowess - and this is a great thing.
Princess Kate has championed so many small businesses throughout her time as a working royal that cannot go unnoticed.
For example, in 2023, the mother-of-three wore incredibly meaningful earrings to mark World Mental Health Day.
The Issy Star earrings were gifted to Kate by Sarah Renton at the Maidenhead Rugby Club earlier that year. The earrings were made in tribute to Renton's daughter, Issy, who tragically took her own life, and their proceeds support the mental health charity Brave Mind.
These simple acts from the Princess of Wales have undeniable power and can bring huge recognition to an important message.
The Princess is an amazing asset to Britain, therefore, I hope Kensington Palace reconsiders its reported policy change.

Her absence in 2024, when the Princess of Wales was undergoing preventative chemotherapy, reminded the general public just how brilliant an asset Kate is to the Royal Family.
The value that the 43-year-old brings to the UK economy each time an outfit sells out also cannot be underestimated.
In 2011, soon after the royal wedding, designers began discussing the "Kate Middleton effect", where clothes and jewellery would sell out just minutes after they were worn by the princess.
Kate would champion British brands, such as Emilia Wickstead and Alexander McQueen, that would have a global success rate.
Catherine Zoraida, who designed the earrings that Kate wore to visit bereaved family members in Southport last year, told the Mail: "It’s something like a 500 per cent lift in sales whenever she is seen in a pair of earrings."
According to Woman Magazine, the Princess of Wales has helped boost the British fashion industry by up to £2billion each year following her wedding to Prince William.
Royal fans who want to find out what Kate is wearing will continue to do so, despite Kensington Palace's reported change in policy.
The importance of fashion within the Royal Family can never be dismissed, given its lasting and worldwide impact.
Two things can be true at once - followers and admirers of the Princess of Wales can love the future Queen for her advocacy work, but can also appreciate a stellar outfit and allow it to have its 15 minutes of fame.
