Zara Tindall's best friend is set for a role within the Royal Family as Princess Anne prepares for a major change.
Dolly Maude, an NHS midwife, was Zara's maid of honour during her wedding to Mike Tindall in 2011.
Maude once joined Zara at the races while wearing a “Lady in waiting” badge which led to a spokesperson for the royal clarifying the situation.
Zara's spokesperson said: "It was a joke. Zara doesn’t have any sort of lady in waiting."

However, Maude is now set to become a lady in waiting for Zara's mother Princess Anne.
She once turned up to the races with her best friend Zara Tindall wearing a playful badge bearing the words “Lady in Waiting”.
A spokesman for the royal was later forced to clarify: “It was a joke. Zara doesn’t have any sort of lady in waiting.”
Buckingham Palace will announce her appointment as one of four newly appointed ladies in waiting to the King's sister, according to the Telegraph.

Some of Princess Anne's previous ladies in waiting have recently retired from the role.
A friend of Maude said regarding the appointment: "She’s such a great girl.
"For the Princess Royal, it’s a perfect fit because of their shared love of dogs and horses.
"She’s not only extremely close to Zara, but she also gets on brilliantly with the Princess. She’s fiercely loyal and discreet. It’s a great match."
