King Charles has returned to royal duties following a brief hospital visit last week, delighting fans with an unexpected musical talent.

The monarch was seen performing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" on a carrot during a special community music reception at Windsor Castle.

The unusual performance, likely alongside the London Vegetable Orchestra, has captivated royal watchers who were thrilled to see the King in good spirits.

The reception, hosted by His Majesty alongside the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, was organised to recognise the importance of community music.

Charles attended a series of royal events over the past seven days after recovering from side effects related to his ongoing cancer treatment.

Royal fans were quick to express their delight at the King's vegetable-based musical skills.

One fan commented: "If ever something was to bring a smile to my face EVER it would be King Charles playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on a carrot with a band of veggie instrument playing musicians. Truly a coming."

Another remarked on the monarch's health, saying: "It's good to see the King in good health and enjoying himself around his people."

A third royal watcher added: "The King playing a carrot has put the biggest smile on my face. Great to see him so jolly."

During the reception, Charles was seen meeting the London Gay Men's Chorus, Songs for Ukraine and The Sing for Freedom Choir.

Guests were also treated to performances from the Royal College of Music London and saxophonist Yolanda Brown.

The King's busy week of engagements followed a brief hospital visit last Thursday due to side effects from his cancer treatment.

This hospitalisation led to the postponement of his scheduled appearances in Birmingham.

Buckingham Palace released a statement explaining: "His Majesty has now returned to Clarence House and as a precautionary measure, acting on medical advice, tomorrow's diary programme will also be rescheduled."

The King expressed his disappointment at missing the planned engagements and hoped they could be rescheduled.

After returning to Clarence House, Charles was visited by his sister Princess Anne before recovering at Highgrove.
