The Duchess of York opened up about Christmas with the Royal Family

Sarah Ferguson said that Christmas is about “no judgement of race" during an appearance on Lorraine, as the Royal Family continues to deal with the fallout from Omid Scobie's Endgame.

The Dutch version of Scobie's book named Princess Kate and King Charles as the royals who alleged "raised concern" about how dark Prince Archie's skin colour would be.

The Duchess of York appeared on Lorraine on Tuesday where she said that Christmas is about “no judgement of race, creed or colour, just love”.

Prince Andrew's ex-wife made the comments when asked if the entire Royal Family would be able to come together again during the festive season.

Meghan Markle claimed during her 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey that an unnamed member of the Royal Family "raised concerns" over her future child's skin colour.

The alleged names of those involved were subsequently published in the Dutch translation of Endgame following an "error".

Scobie has denied any involvement in the names being included, telling ITV: "I never submitted a book that had those names in it."

During Sarah Ferguson's appearance on Lorraine, she was asked whether “the whole family, all of you, will be able to have Christmas together”.

The presenter added that the festive season “brings people together and that’s what it should do”.

Fergie said that she “couldn’t agree more”.

The former working royal continued: “If we watch enough of these Christmas movies and sing enough of these Christmas songs... Can we just all have love, forgiveness and happiness and joy?

“People say to me, you don’t wear your heart on your sleeve, Fergie or Sarah, you wear it all over your body because that’s what I am. I really believe you can give love.”

When asked if she minded people calling her Fergie, Sarah responded: “I like it, I like anything”.

The duchess, who is recovering from breast cancer, gave an update on her health: “I’m doing well… I’m all about positivity and I feel the potential of optimism is what I would love for everyone to come away from this show with.”

This comes as Princess Kate, Prince William, King Charles and Queen Camilla put on a united front at the Diplomatic Corps reception on Tuesday evening.

The four royals were photographed together in a show of unity after the bombshell book was released.
