The Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex have not reconciled their royal feud
A handwritten letter from Diana, Princess of Wales has sold at auction for £10,000, nearly ten times its estimated value.
The two-page note, written on Kensington Palace notepaper in September 1984, was originally expected to fetch £1,200 at Sworders Fine Art Auctioneers.
The letter was addressed to Violet Collison, known affectionately as 'Collie', who served as head housekeeper to Diana's parents at Park House on the Sandringham Estate.
The personal correspondence, which offers touching insights into young Princes William and Harry's relationship, was penned shortly after Harry's birth.
In the letter, Diana described William's deep affection for his newborn brother Harry.

"William adores his little brother & spends the entire time pouring an endless supply of hugs & kisses over Harry," the Princess wrote.
She playfully added that this display of brotherly love was "wonderful to watch, if we're allowed near!"

A second source said: "This isn’t so much about wanting to be friends with Meghan - that’s never going to happen.
"They added: "A lot of people still think Kate would be justified to hang onto a grudge after the way Meghan has behaved, but she has no interest in that.
"Sure, there were hurt feelings a while ago but she’s ready to let it go - time has been a great healer."
