They are parents to Count Henrik, 15, and Countess Athena, 13, while Prince Joachim also has two older sons from a previous marriage - Count Nikolai, 25, and Count Felix, 22.
The children were formerly titled princes and princesses until January 2022, when Queen Margrethe removed their royal titles.
The title changes prompted Queen Margrethe to issue a public apology, stating: "No one should be in doubt that my children, daughters-in-law and grandchildren are my great joy and pride."
Prince Joachim's brother Frederik became King Frederik of Denmark in January 2024, following Queen Margrethe's abdication.
