Speaking to GB, Vicky Robayna said that “It absolutely means the world” that the public have supported her cause.
She added: “The fact that so many people are rooting for it and cheering for it and want to see that difference be made to future families means everything.
“So many people have donated to the Liz Hatton just giving page. It's not a case of one big donation has done it.”
Liz’s page has over 3,400 supporters who have donated to the cause.
Vicky added: “It's lots of people donating what they can spare, whether that's the price of a coffee or the price of a meal out, every little bit makes a difference and keeps us going and makes us realize that in the future, it will be different for other people.
"I think just please, if you can spare something, consider donating, because it isn't going to be done by someone else.
“There is no one else fighting for change for this cancer. And we really need to change something. It's not okay that young people are dying just because not enough research has been done.”
