Princess Kate and King Charles have forged an "inseparable bond", strengthened by their recent cancer diagnoses and treatments.
The 75-year-old monarch and his daughter-in-law have grown closer over time, with their relationship deepening through shared health challenges.
Sources close to the Royal Family report that the pair have been supporting each other throughout their illnesses.
Their connection was evident when Charles visited Kate in hospital during their simultaneous stays in January.

The King was there for an enlarged prostate, whilst the Princess of Wales underwent planned abdominal surgery.
Their bond has only grown stronger since their subsequent cancer diagnoses.
The King and princess have supported each other through their health challenges. In March, Charles visited Kate for a heart-to-heart conversation at Windsor Castle, just before she announced her cancer diagnosis.
A source told The Sun: "They are very close and he thinks of Catherine as his daughter."
The King was already aware of her illness and wanted to offer support. Kate, in turn, was concerned about her father-in-law's well-being. Their shared experience has created a unique bond.
As one royal insider told the publication: "They are two patients going through a common health experience."
The Palace later stated that Charles was "so proud of Catherine for her courage in speaking as she did" about her diagnosis.
Kate has also played a crucial role in bringing William and Charles closer together. Royal biographer Robert Jobson describes her as "an instinctive peace-maker" who has helped improve the father-son relationship.
The King's affection for Kate is evident, with Jobson noting: "His eyes light up when he sees her at family functions, and they always make a bee-line for each other."
The Royal Family has also warmly embraced the Middletons. James Middleton, Kate's brother, recalls being invited to stay at Sandringham by the late Queen Elizabeth II.
He shared a touching anecdote about his dog Ella accidentally interrupting Charles's bath during a visit to Highgrove.
These warm family gatherings paint a picture of a close-knit Royal Family, far from the cold, austere image often portrayed.
The strong family bond between King Charles, Princess Kate, and the wider Royal Family has been a source of strength during their health challenges.
The King and Queen Camilla have kept their promise to offer "love and support to the whole family through this difficult time". Kate has regularly checked on her father-in-law's well-being.
Their mutual support was visible during Kate's first public appearance after her diagnosis at Trooping the Colour in June. Charles placed her beside him on the Buckingham Palace balcony, a clear sign of affection.
The families have also spent time together at Balmoral, providing opportunities for the King to catch up with the Waleses.
