King Charles and Donald Trump have a "budding bromance", according to multi-millionaire entrepreneur Kevin O'Leary.

The Shark Tank star suggested observers should look beyond Trump's "bombastic noise" to see the deeper signals.

According to O'Leary, King Charles "understands" the global challenges posed by China, Russia and North Korea teaming up, which is why the monarch is purposefully strengthening Trump's hand in talks with Canada.

"The answer to that? Economic union," O'Leary explained, suggesting a partnership between the US and Canada could create the world's largest economic engine dedicated to freedom and democracy.

He described King Charles' approach as "smart politics" and Trump's response as a show of "respect".

"The Commonwealth is a great forum for resolving differences between nations, and the King has shown that he is a natural peacemaker," a source told the Daily Mail.

President Trump has enthusiastically embraced King Charles's proposal for the United States to become an "associate member" of the British Commonwealth.

"I Love King Charles. Sounds good to me!" Trump wrote on Truth Social in response to the claims.

The Commonwealth comprises of 56 independent states united by commitments to democracy and the rule of law.

King Charles has served as head of the Commonwealth since the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

The proposal for America to join the Commonwealth was originally backed by Queen Elizabeth during Trump's first term, but was never realised.

Now the idea is "being discussed at the highest levels" of British Government.

O'Leary believes the late Queen's endorsement will resonate with Canadians, noting: "The Queen was the most beloved leader on Earth, period... and she's still very much part of the DNA of Canada."

Plans are claimed to be underway to reveal the proposal during Trump's upcoming state visit to the UK.
