The Princess Royal was spotted hobbling on Easter Sunday

Princess Anne was pictured holding a walking stick as she stepped out on Sunday to support her daughter, Zara Tindall.

The Princess Royal was seen walking without difficulty as she held the walking stick at the Cirencester Park horse trials.

The 74-year-old royal was supporting her daughter, Zara, who was competing at the event.

This appearance comes just weeks after the Princess Royal was spotted hobbling and using an umbrella for support at the Easter Sunday church service.

While mystery initially surrounded her condition, sources told the Mail that the Princess Royal was suffering from "a bit of a bruised leg".

The injury reportedly resulted from an incident at Gatcombe Park a few days before Easter Sunday.

Speaking about the outing on Sunday, royal photographer James Whatling told Hello!: "She was strolling around, no signs at all of any injury. She walked all the way out to the cross-country course and then all the way back."

Princess Anne carried a shepherd's crook, which is customary for her at such events.

The Princess Royal was joined at the event by her former daughter-in-law, Autumn Phillips, who showed her continued close bond with the Royal Family despite her divorce from Anne's son Peter in 2021.

Autumn, 46, was seen cheering on Zara alongside Princess Anne.

"Autumn was there, which was nice to see. She's obviously still part of the family and was chatting to Anne and everyone else," Whatling told the outlet.

The Canadian businesswoman, dressed in a denim jacket and orange patterned skirt, remains living in Gloucestershire to co-parent her daughters with Peter.

"They're a tight unit and they all know each other," the photographer added.

Anne's appearance at the horse trials follows her recent two-day visit to Turkey with her husband, Sir Tim Laurence, where they attended commemorations for the 110th anniversary of the Gallipoli campaign.

Despite her injury, the Princess Royal has maintained her busy schedule with two major events planned for today, as confirmed by Buckingham Palace.
