Meghan has not directly addressed criticism following her Netflix show

Meghan Markle has been urged to "take lessons" from Prince William and Princess Kate by a PR expert who gave her insight to GB News.

It comes as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are understood to not be on speaking terms with senior members of the Royal Family, including Prince William and King Charles.

Meghan has not directly addressed any negative reaction from UK publications since the duchess launched her new Netflix series 'With Love, Meghan', on March 4.

The Independent and The Guardian gave the Archewell production one out of five stars, with the Telegraph giving the eight-part series a marginally better, two out of five stars.

Speaking on addressing the criticism, PR and social media expert Caitlin Jardine at Ellis Digital exclusively told GB News Meghan "should remain silent."

She said: "In crisis communications, when it comes to reacting to social media, the best response is no response.

"In this type of situation, there is wisdom in knowing when to remain silent and knowing when to respond."

The expert noted the duchess has traditionally "been bad" at staying silent however noted she has learned from her last mistakes.

She added: "She has been much more discerning over the past year, and I believe she has found a much more balanced approach to her communications."

Jardine also branded her new show as an attempt to rebrand her image but noted it might have been "a little premature."

"There has been so much negative sentiment towards her, and there is not yet enough goodwill in the bank to move the reputational needle sufficiently.

"Time is a great healer, and had she waited longer, people would have had time to forget the past and would also be more intrigued with what she was now up to."

"She just needs not to be pulled into the trap of getting into an unnecessary social media argument with anyone.

"She should take a lesson from her brother-in-law and sister-in-law and rise above the fray."

Meghan Markle indirectly hit back at Netflix critics as she thanked fans for watching her new Netflix show 'With Love, Meghan' after it reached the streaming platform's Top 10 list in just 24 hours.

She also shared a video of the trailer for 'With Love, Meghan' playing in Times Square following its launch.
