Camilla, 77, shares two children with her ex-husband, Andrew Parker Bowles

Queen Camilla is set to make a "hasty retreat" after the Royal Family's Christmas gathering, according to a source.

Camilla, 77, shares two children with her ex-husband, Andrew Parker Bowles, who frequently visit their mother at her private residence in Wiltshire, Ray Mill House.

The Queen purchased the property in 1996 following her divorce from Parker Bowles.

Despite being married to King Charles, Camilla spends much of her private time in Wiltshire.

Queen Camilla is currently in Norfolk, getting ready to celebrate Christmas with King Charles and the wider Royal Family tomorrow.

However, as soon as the celebrations are over, the Queen is set to make a "hasty retreat to Wiltshire after Christmas to host her own family celebration," inside sources told The Mail.

Her children, Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes, have never celebrated Christmas at Sandringham before.

In a new interview, Parker Bowles explained: "I keep getting asked what royal Christmases are like, but I've not actually been to one."

He continued: "I've talked to my mother about it and, from what I gather, it's fairly traditional: a decent-sized Norfolk turkey with all the trimmings, mince pies and Christmas pud."

As for where he will be spending this Christmas, Parker Bowles revealed that he has several options.

"Ever since I got divorced eight years ago, I've spent Christmas Day with my ex-wife (Sara)—we still get on well—and family," he explained.

Parker Bowles continued to tell Saga: "This year, for the first time, I'm not sure where I'll be.

"I might be with my mother and The King or I might be preparing the veg before having a pint in my local [pub].

"If I'm in charge of dinner, I like to push the boat out."

However, Parker Bowles revealed earlier this month that he did finally receive an invitation from the Queen.

He continued: "My mum said, 'I’d love you to come, I haven't had Christmas with you for a long time.' It has been a hell of a two years for them."
