Queen Camilla is 'only one' who can help King Charles end bitter feud with Prince Harry: 'She's pivotal'

The Duke of Sussex criticised Camilla in his autobiography which was released in January 2023
Queen Camilla could be the "only one" to end the bitter feud between her husband King Charles and son-in-law Prince Harry, a royal source has claimed.
A close friend of the King and Queen suggested that Camilla is "pivotal" to the family's healing, after an explosive couple of years between the Sussexes and the wider Royal Family.
The source opined: “The division between state and family is sacrosanct so Camilla will be pivotal in all this.
“She is the only one who will be in a position to advise [King Charles] who he will listen to.
"She is a pragmatist and I’m sure she understands the importance of putting this saga to bed," they told The Daily Beast.
Queen Camilla’s position is well known within the family as “Least said, soonest mended,” according to her close friend.
The Queen’s official companion Fiona Shelburne, also known as Lady Lansdowne, told the Sunday Times: “Of course it bothers her, of course it hurts.
"But she doesn’t let it get to her. Her philosophy is always, ‘Don’t make a thing of it and it will settle down—least said, soonest mended.’”

King Charles is reportedly not seeking an apology from the Duke of Sussex over his accusations against the Royal Family in his memoir Spare and Netflix documentary.
But he is also not willing to give out an apology of his own to Harry and Meghan, according to the royal source.
Things could be moving in the right direction, as King Charles was said to have invited Harry and Meghan to Balmoral during the summer.
However, it was reported that the Sussexes could not make the visit due to a scheduling conflict.

In addition, the King ordered the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to vacate Frogmore Cottage earlier this year, which could be a sign of further strained relations.
Prince Harry remains a Counsellor of State, but King Charles extended the number of Counsellors to seven instead of five last year.
This was so that Princess Anne and Prince Edward could be added to the list and fulfil duties for the monarch when he is unable to do so.
The Duke of Sussex, as well as the Duke of York, therefore remain Counsellors of State but are less likely to be called to duty now that neither of them are working members of the Royal Family.
