King Charles and Queen Camilla will travel to Italy on April 7 for their first state visit of 2025.
The visit will include several formal engagements across Italy, demonstrating the King's improving health and ability to resume royal responsibilities.
The trip highlights the continuing diplomatic relationship between the United Kingdom and Italy.

Close friends of the couple told The Mail that their time spent apart is the "secret" to their longevity as a couple.
One source described the move as "quaintly old-fashioned", in an "aristocratic way".
Other friends told the publication that "sparks still fly" between the royals.
Charles met Camilla on the Windsor Great Park polo field in 1970, a year before he joined the Royal Navy.

A friend of the couple told the publication that despite being married for 20 years, the royal pair still show affection to each other.
The insider said: "He is always entertaining her, making her laugh as they wait to go out in public, she rolling her eyes and letting him get on with it.
"And then you see them in these moments together when they are so tactile and affectionate, you think 'Gosh, I didn’t expect that'.
"Their love is still very much alive."
