Isabella is Mary's oldest daughter

Princess Isabella and Queen Mary of Denmark dazzled at a glitzy concert celebrating Isabella 18th birthday at the Royal Danish Theatre in Copenhagen on Tuesday night.

The Danish royal family gathered for the special performance ahead of Isabella's actual birthday on April 21.

The princess stunned in a glittering navy tulle gown with silver embroidery on the back, paired with a matching clutch and her hair styled in an elegant updo.

She completed her look with sparkling diamond earrings borrowed from her mother, Queen Mary.

The celebration marked the second of two major public events honouring the princess's coming of age, with over 1,000 young people from across Denmark invited to attend.

Proud parents King Frederik, 56, and Queen Mary, 53, posed for photographs with their four children on the red carpet.

Queen Mary looked elegant in a black satin off-the-shoulder top with an embellished skirt, whilst King Frederik appeared dapper in a tuxedo.

Crown Prince Christian, 19, and Prince Vincent, 14, matched the King in smart tuxedos.

Princess Josephine, 14, complemented her sister in a blue jumpsuit with caped sequin sleeves.

The celebration was a full family affair with King Frederik's mother, former monarch Queen Margrethe, in attendance.

Isabella's cousins, Count Nikolai, 25, and Count Felix, 22, also joined the festivities, with Nikolai reportedly flying in from Australia where he attends university in Sydney.

Queen Mary's sister, Jane Stephens, was also present for the special occasion.

Last week, Princess Isabella delivered her first solo address at a celebration in her honour at Aarhus City Hall.

On her actual birthday on April 21, Isabella is expected to enjoy a private celebration with family.

She will also receive the Order of the Elephant, a major honour from her father King Frederik.
