Ernest, who will turn two next month, appeared all grown up in his smart outfit as he enjoyed the spring day with his mother.
The Instagram post was simply captioned "Happy Easter" with a hatching egg emoji.
In the charming photograph, Princess Eugenie was seen wearing a flowing yellow Diane von Furstenberg dress with puffed sleeves and a cinched waist.
The sunshine-coloured outfit perfectly complemented the Easter celebrations and spring season.

Ernest looked remarkably grown-up in his Sunday best, sporting a smart navy suit with matching trousers and a crisp white shirt.
The toddler appeared to be holding his mother's hand as they peered out onto the water together.
While Eugenie's husband, Jack Brooksbank, 38, and their eldest son, August, four, weren't pictured, one of them was likely behind the camera capturing the tender moment.
The post quickly attracted thousands of likes and well-wishes from royal fans.

Earlier in the day, Princess Eugenie attended the Royal Family's traditional Easter Sunday service at St George's Chapel in Windsor.
She looked elegant in an all-white ensemble, complemented by a striking veiled headpiece that covered a large portion of her face.
The Princess of York completed her look with a white longline belted coat, nude suede pointed pumps and a nude tote bag.
Eugenie appeared in high spirits as she smiled and chatted with Jack and her mother, the Duchess of York.
She was also spotted entering the grounds with her uncle, Prince Edward, along with Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, and their son James, Earl of Wessex.
Princess Eugenie's sister, Princess Beatrice, also made a striking appearance at the Easter service with her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
Prince Andrew also attended the service alongside King Charles, Queen Camilla and other royals.
This marked his first public appearance since skipping the annual Christmas gathering in Sandringham amid controversy surrounding his links to an alleged Chinese spy.
