Sarah Ferguson shared the family's deep connection to the Teenage Cancer Trust during the video call

Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice made their first public appearances of 2025 during the same engagement as they joined forces on a video call to celebrate Teenage Cancer Trust fundraisers.

The Princesses of York were accompanied by their mother Sarah Ferguson for the virtual engagement.

All three royals serve as long-term honorary patrons of the charity, which provides specialised care for young people with cancer.

During the call, TCT's chief executive Kate Collins highlighted the vital role of fundraisers in supporting the charity's work.

Collins said: "The care that Teenage Cancer Trust nurses and youth teams provide is only made possible by remarkable fundraisers."

"Every single penny that everyone gives is what makes our work happen."

The Teenage Cancer Trust, established by Adrian and Myrna Whiteson, was founded to bridge the gap between children's and adult cancer care.

The charity now operates 28 specialist units across the country, ensuring young cancer patients receive treatment in age-appropriate environments.

These dedicated facilities prevent teenagers from being placed in either children's wards or adult cancer units.

The units are equipped with gaming consoles and dedicated hang-out areas, creating a more home-like atmosphere for young patients.

Regular pizza nights and social spaces are provided, allowing teenagers to connect with peers who understand their cancer journey.

These features help create a supportive environment for young people during their treatment.

Princess Beatrice became emotional during the video call, explaining her tears were of inspiration.

"I am pregnant so I cry at absolutely everything," revealed the Princess, who is expecting her second child with husband Edoardo Mappelli Mozzi this Spring.

Sarah Ferguson shared the family's deep connection to the charity, dating back to 1990.

"I went to TCT founders Adrian and Myrna and I said, 'Please can I become a patron of the Teenage Cancer Trust?'" the Duchess of York recalled.

She explained how she introduced her daughters to the charity's work on their 18th birthdays by taking them to TCT units.

"I like to think I gave them an understanding of humility and how kindness is the best gift you can give anyone," she reflected.

"Look, listen, learn, show up, and amplify. The sense of purpose, that's what I believe in."
