The 34-year-old and her husband Jack Brooksbank began splitting their time between Portugal and the UK in 2022
Princess Eugenie has discussed her life in Portugal, miles away from the Royal Family in the UK.
The 34-year-old alongside her husband Jack Brooksbank is currently spending the majority of their time in the European country due to Brooksbank's work developing a beach resort with Meldman's Discovery Land Company.
The couple, who share sons August, three, and Ernest, one, began splitting their time between the two countries in 2022.
Eugenie has opened up about her life in the sunny country, where the family particularly enjoy their time spent by the beach is viewed as precious.
Speaking of her sons, she told Hello: “They love swimming!
“The sea in Portugal's a little bit rougher. So we've got our feet in, but Augie is a fish. He literally loves it and we have whales and dolphins all across the walls.”
She discussed a book - The World’s Wildest Waters - that her oldest son adores.
“We've got a book which is backed by Blue Marine Foundation - I see it every morning when Augie's eating breakfast, and he's like, 'Mama!' and then we go through it.
ROYAL LATEST:
“The children have to find the creatures in the pictures and the next page is all the facts about the cuttlefish, or the Great White shark or the seal. And Augie loves it.”
Her comments come amid growing speculation the Duke of York’s daughter could look to return to the UK from Portugal.
A source told the Daily Express: “Eugenie is adamant that she wants to head back to the UK on a more permanent basis and use the villa in Portugal as a holiday home.
“They are very close to their families and all like spending lots of quality time together with the children. Jack's success has given them the freedom to fly back and forth between two countries and provide the boys with a loving and close-knit family unit.
“Jack's company doing so well makes it easier for them to head back to England on a more permanent basis.
“They [the family] are currently spending a lot of time in Portugal and as the boys get a bit older, they are looking for kindergartens near to their London home and eventually schools in the UK.”
The King’s niece spends her time on the Iberian coast living at a luxury golf and ocean club worth a stonking £3.6million.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are said to have stayed at the resort and visited Eugenie after the Invictus Games.
