Princess Eugenie has issued a powerful statement on being proud of her scar.
The Princess of York was diagnosed with scoliosis as a child and is passionate about spreading awareness regarding the condition.
In a moving post on the condition, Eugenie pays tribute to her mother Sarah Ferguson.
Eugenie credits the Duchess of York for removing all stigma around having scoliosis.

The statement which was posted on Instagram on Saturday comes three days after International Scoliosis Awareness Day which takes place on June 26.
Eugenie wrote: "My mum caught my scoliosis early and I was lucky enough to get the help I needed at 12 years old.
"I thank her so much for that and also thank her for the confidence to be proud of my scar.
"She removed all the stigma around having scoliosis for me by confidently showing people what I’d been through and it took all the fear and anxiety out of being different at such a young age.

Earlier this week, Eugenie took to her Instagram story with a throwback photograph from her 2018 wedding to Jack Brooksbank.
Eugenie wore a wedding dress with a low back, designed to display her scar from an operation which took place when she was 12 years old.
Prince Andrew's youngest daughter had major surgery on her back to treat a curvature of the spine in 2002.

The beautiful dress was designed by British fashion designers Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos from the label Peter Pilotto.
Taking to her Instagram story on Tuesday, Eugenie wrote: "Did you know it's Scoliosis Awareness Day tomorrow?"
