The Princess of York, 34, stepped out on Wednesday with her older cousin

Princess Eugenie has been seen for the first time since skipping Princess Kate's concert as she joined forces with Zara Tindall.

The Princess of York, 34, stepped out on Wednesday with her cousin Zara for a Christmas lunch in Chelsea.

Eugenie wrapped up in a black coat with an emerald-green skirt, velvet boots, and a black roll-neck.

In addition, she swept her brunette hair into a low bun with a side parting.

The princess carried a black leather holdall as she joined Zara, 43, and their close friends Natalie Pinkham, Georgie Ainslie, Anna Woodhouse, and Di Stewart.

They dined at Ixchel, a new Mexican restaurant on King's Road in Chelsea.

The glamorous restaurant is loved by celebrities including Holly Willoughby and Eugenie's sister, Princess Beatrice.

Zara matched her cousin, opting for black boots, which she paired with skin-tight leather trousers, a fitted black jacket, and a scarf.

Eugenie's outing comes just five days after skipping the Princess of Wales's "Together At Christmas" Carol Service at Westminster Abbey.

The mother-of-two was a no-show at the event, despite attending every year since its inception in 2021.

The York family was represented by Princess Beatrice, 36, who attended alongside her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and his eight-year-old son from a previous relationship, Wolfie.

Despite not attending the concert, it is likely that Eugenie will join the Royal Family at Sandringham for Christmas.

A source told The Express: “Harry and Meghan have invited Eugenie and Jack to join them in California during the holidays.

“It’s a very difficult position for Eugenie because she has also been invited to Sandringham.”

The insider added: “Eugenie is in a difficult position because she’s always been close to Harry, but she is mindful of how that relationship could affect her standing with the rest of her family.

“She is always trying to manage a difficult balancing act, which can become quite tiresome at times. Eugenie doesn’t want to jeopardise the family’s renewed goodwill efforts.”
